Sedona Elopement | Rachel and Nedko

Bride and groom hugging during a Sedona elopement

Rachel and Nedko’s Sedona elopement had every reason to feel stressful, and somehow it never did.

While Rachel was getting ready, the sky opened up and it started pouring rain, which is not exactly the usual mood in Arizona. Most brides would have spiraled. Rachel didn’t. She just kept going, completely unbothered, like the weather didn’t get a vote in the day.

The rain broke right before it was time to leave, and by the time everyone arrived, Sedona looked freshly washed and dramatic in the best way. Their ceremony was intimate and sweet, full of personal touches and vows that made all of us teary eyed. And then the wind picked up and refused to let up, blowing hair in every direction and turning every quiet moment into something a little bit wild. Rachel didn’t skip a beat.

Afterward, the group had a beautiful dinner at Mariposa, then headed back to the Airbnb to pop champagne and cut the cake in sweatpants. It couldn’t have been more their vibe, meaningful where it mattered, easy everywhere else.
